Over 23 years of tradition, in the heart of mildura warm whisper of murray river breeze, a new culinary experience is lighting up the region- the spanish grill celebrating the rich traditions of charcoal fire- cooked food,bold meditterran flavours,and the art of slow,soulful dining. The centrpiece of the restaurant is its traditional open charcoal grill- fire up daily with mallee roots charcol to impart deep, smokey flavour in to every steak.

At the core of spanish grill co-owner chef jay, the fire –wielding force behind the grill. After years perfecting his craft in celebrated kitchens across the world, Jay create a dining destination that would honor charcoal grill cooking celebrating the unique flavors of regional Victoria. His mastary of tradional grill tecniques and commitment to local seasonal produce has created a menu that sings with authenticity and heart.

A corner of Mildura’s history-The Spanish Grill is located in what is perhaps the city’s oldest existing urban corner. Since 1889 the Mildura Grand Hotel has overlooked the wild Murray River and its surroundings.Our dining room and vine-covered pergola offer views of Mildura’s new riverfront development. For the first time it links the city from Langtree Avenue to the river for pedestrians.So now you can take in some local history while strolling along the waterfront before or after dinner or idly contemplate this part of the world with a drink in the shade of our ornamental vines.‍

Our meat

The only meat that even comes into consideration is Australian Prime Black Angus, This already select tier of the country’s finest cattle is then scrutinized for conformation, color, age, marbling, texture, and rich full bodied flavor. We honor the quality of the meat by cooking it over open flame, Spanish-style. This method enhances the natural flavors of the meat, creating a perfect charred crust while locking in the juices. Whether it’s a marbled ribeye, a juicy scotch fillet, or a flame-kissed t bone, our grill brings out The best in every cut.
